Debbie Deb - "When I Hear Music"

Freestyle Friday!

Etta James - "Tell Mama"

"When I'm singing blues, I'm singing life. People that can't stand to listen to the blues, they've got to be phonies." - Etta James

Rusko - "Somebody To Love"

It is, apparently, all about the drop.

Sugar Pie DeSanto - "I Want to Know"

Gotta get my hands on this 45.

Classic Hits Trailer

Classic Hits, New York's Pioneering Subway Graffiti Writers, is a book by Alan Fleisher and Paul Iovino, with Introduction by Phase 2.

There's some great old school NYC footage in this.

Planet Patrol - "Play At Your Own Risk" (Tommy Boy 1982) Side A

Freestyle Friday! Starting the weekend off proper.

Sade - "Turn My Back On You"

I used to play this songs 12" extended dance mix on 45rpm (it's 33rpm vinyl) every Friday night. Sounds like a modern dance track sped up. 1988 + Sade = full blown dime piece mode.

Pebbles - "Mercedes Boy"

Do you wanna ride?

Steely Dan - "Peg" (Instrumental)

Yacht funk Mondays.

Bobby Caldwell - "Open Your Eyes"

Yacht funk Mondays.
